Corrugated steel pipes and tubes are available in various shapes and sizes to meet the drainage, sewer and transportation needs. Years of dependable service and modern engineering technology has made CSP the material of choice for culverts, storm sewers, sub-drains, underpasses, service tunnels, detention chambers and recharge systems.


Research has shown that corrugated steel tube and pipes generally provides outstanding soil side durability, and with proper coating and invert paving can virtually attain any required service life. Maintenance cost can be effectively controlled through modern structural and durability design criteria. The behavior of both soil side and the effluent side of the pipe have been rigorously studied.

When steel pipe is forged, a black oxide scale forms on its surface to give it the finish which is seen on this type of pipe. Because steel is subject to rust and corrosion, the factory also coats it with protective oil. Those black steel are used for manufacturing pipe and tube, which will not rust for a long time and requires very little maintenance. It is sold in standard 21-foot lengths TBE.

Black steel pipes and tubes are cut and threaded to fit the job. Fittings for this type of pipe are of black malleable (soft) cast iron. They connect by screwing onto the threaded pipe, after applying a small amount of pipe joint compound on the threads. Larger diameter pipe is welded rather than threaded. Black steel pipe is cut either with a heavy-duty tube cutter or cutoff saw or by hacksaw.

Circular welded non-alloy steel pipes of circular cross-section not more than 406.4 millimeters (16 inches) in outside diameter tubes are generally known as standard steel pipes and Tubes. Regardless of wall thickness, the surface finish of standard pipes are black, galvanized, or painted and the end finish is plain end, beveled end, threaded, or threaded and coupled. Unfinished conduit pipe is also included in these orders. Standard pipe is produced in Continuous Weld, Electric Resistance Weld, and Seamless.


These pipes are intended for the low pressure conveyance of water, steam, natural gas, and other liquids and gases in plumbing and heating systems, air conditioning units, automatic sprinkler systems, and other related uses. Standard steel pipes and tubes may also be used for light load-bearing applications, such as for fence tubing and as structural pipe tubing used for framing and support members for reconstruction or load-bearing purposes in the construction, shipbuilding, trucking, farm equipment, and related industries.

Galvanized Steel are those steel that has been covered with a layer of zinc metal. During galvanizing, steel is immersed in a molten zinc bath, ensuring a tough, uniform barrier coating. Zinc's natural corrosion resistance provides long-term protection, even in outdoor environments. Apart from preventing water corrosion, it is equally effective in dry, indoor environments.
